EACH OF TANYA STEWART’S OIL PAINTINGS tells A STORY
Looking for oil paintings of British Columbia’s West Coast and the Pacific Northwest? You’ve come to the right place! Tanya Stewart’s oil paintings, created at Stewart Art Studio in Coeur D’Alene, Idaho, are inspired by all the stories this side of the natural world has to tell.
There’s something special about painting with oils that is hard to explain to those who have yet to pick up a brush. The fluidity and feel of oil paintings conveys the natural world in a stunning way, accurately illustrating its beauty while adding a little extra dash of wonder.
Inspired by the rugged and mysterious beauty, each of Tanya Stewart’s nature oil paintings of the Pacific Northwest and the West Coast of Canada has a story behind it.
There was an adventure that brought the West Coast artist here, a moment where the landscape spoke to her, a flash of inspiration that sparked an idea. This idea was then brought back to Tanya’s Squamish art studio to be painted to bring the outdoors into your homes.
It may have been a moment of solitude or one shared with dear friends. Along the way, there may have been encounters with wildlife, exchanges of memories and laughs, or introspective thoughts and new understandings that only the allure of mountains, cliffs, and seas can bring about.

TAP INTO your WILD SIDE with FINE ART PHOTOGRAPHY PRINTS
Also inspired by the indescribable allure of the Pacific Northwest and the Canadian West Coast, Tanya Stewart Art Studio’s fine art landscape portraits tell stories of the places she’s been and sights she simply never wants to forget. Tanya Stewart began taking photos as a reminder of what nature has to offer us, and now this same reminder can exist on the walls of your home.
Tanya has been a hobby travel and nature photographer since film had to be developed, and more seriously picked up the camera for landscape photography four years ago. Over time, she has refined a unique style to represent the charm and magnetism of the the Pacific Northwest. A little moody, a little mysterious, and always a breathtaking scene that evokes a sense of wonder.
Tanya Stewart’s photographs are typically taken when the sun is hitting the moody mists of the Pacific Northwest.
She heads out hiking at odd hours so that she can capture the lighting when it’s just right, creating that ethereal vibe that only those who have experienced Pacific Northwest or West Coast will truly understand. She also takes great care not to over-edit her images, and only makes the necessary adjustments to reflect the wonder she witnessed in real life. No photoshop will be found here!
